The Frogs Text Discography v6.23 Copyright 1997-2000 Brian Haines Last Updated 06/22/2000 Maintained by Brian Haines (webmaster@thefuton.com) Most recent version can be found at http://thefuton.com/frogs/discog.txt I put a lot of work into this discography, so please don't steal it and please give me credit for any information you use, and a link. Considering the amount of time I put into this, that is not very much to ask. If you have any information to add to this discography, PLEASE email it to me. You will be credited for the information in the Thanks to section below. Note: You can buy tapes of unreleased Frogs material from Rosy Jack World's mail order page (execpc.com/~mobark). Even though these tapes are distributed, I do not consider them official releases so they will not be listed in this discography (actually I'm just too lazy. Deal with it.). After "I Only Play 4 Money," you can hear Billy Corgan laughing. The parts played by members of the Smashing Pumpkins on this release were recorded in 1994. The 10" was limited to 2000 copies on green vinyl. Several online music stores have listed a German import of this. While the existence of this item seems unlikely, I've no other reason to doubt this. The tracks on the promo cd are the same as the normal release. The promo cd mislables "Weird On The Avenue" as "Weird" and "I Only Play 4 Money" as "I Only Play For Money." The promo cs mislables "Weird On The Avenue" as "Weird" and "I Only Play 4 Money" as "I [heart symbol] $" Most Scratchie promos come in 2 variants: a CD with the band name, release tite, and promotional information on it in a case with no front insert, b/w back insert with track names and lengths and info about the band; the standard release with promotional information on the front insert I've only seen Starjob with the format of the former, but I wouldn't doubt the existance of one in the format of the latter. A Starjob promo cassette exists, and existed over 8 months before the album came out officially. It consists of a stock Scratchie promo J-card with the songs and album title printed on it, and no other info. The cassette is clear with a white promo label pasted on it. With the Scratchie's change of distributers, the promo cds will be different, and the standard releases altered to reflect change. The back of the promo cd says: --START-- The Frogs - From their first album, "It's Only Right & Natural" right up until this Spring's Scratchie release, "Starjob EP", the Frogs have been masters at blending the highly controversial with the gloss of a distinct pop mind. While always a hugely successful underground band, the Frogs recent stint touring with the Smashing Pumpkins has brought them an entirely new and excited fan base. --END-- Where to get it: CD - http://cdnow.com/switch/from=sr-261379/target=buyweb_purchase/ddcn=SD-4228+534838+2 10" - http://cdnow.com/switch/from=sr-261379/target=buyweb_purchase/ddcn=SD-69720+536419+1 CD Promo - you might be able to find it at local non-mainstream record stores that sell promos. -- Title: Bananimals Record Label: Four Alarm Records Date Released: 10/12/1999 Formats: CD/12" ID# CD far446cd 12" far446LP Tracks: pay la da da da, la da da dee, la da da dum dum love me or die bitch evil arnold (w/ the ugly name) is it right to kiss the boys (when you're a girl and not a boy?) one of them wore wings, the other did the painting golden showers dead pussy in the road w/ mother's name on top u bastards (try out my new) sex doll baby!!! love in the sand für z musik biz (10 years to waste) blonde & beautiful, beat-up (& the bitch was young) i'm back to women my show business days sailors board me now Notes: The first 500 copies of the 12" were autographed. -- Compilations -- Title: Night of the Living Dead Record Label: Massacre at Central Hi Date Released: ??/??/1992 Formats: 12" ID# ?
